Summer break and a way forward!
So here in Sweden it is summertime and I will soon take a vacation from all kind of work to rest and recharge. June was an intense month it feels like I have had much to do not all related to game development. Still I have some fun things to share!
I have finished most of the dialogues in english and I think it is a good start. I have tried to setup the dialogues and NPCs so that you will get the neccesary information before you actually need it. My goal is to make it easier to understand each mechanic and part of the game. Also to give you hints about where things might be hidden. Below is a short clip how the dialogues are presented right now. What do you think?
Another thing I have not finalized but that I am adding is daily challenges. At the moment my idea is to have different levels each day that you can play to collect items and gain experience to level up your samurai. Below is a video with some gameplay from one of the test levels where I test the concept, layouts and visual design. Each daily challenge will have a goal in the video the goal is to collect all the present boxes.
The two above is the two largest things I have to tell you about this month. I hope you will have a great summer and I will be back in august maybe not with so much news but with more energy.
